To do justice to the story of the Stratocaster
and its place within the continuing evolution
of music and society, we need to hear the
voices of those it has affected. To
this end, we have been compiling, and continue
to acquire, interviews of people who have
a story and perspective on this instrument.
Some of these names will be recognizable
as musical artists. But because the
Strat has made such an impact on the social
scene of our culture, there are many people
on our lists who are not known as Strat
players or, even, as musicians. Still,
they have a perspective worthy of inclusion
as they recount their personal experiences
dealing with the Stratocaster and their
own unique commentary on the Strat’s
place in history and culture.
